I go on a remote 5 day bushwhack survival catch & cook camping adventure in the rugged & scenic Newfoundland wilderness. Saku is along for the journey.
It is May 2022 and we drive about 80km on a woods road to our put in point then hike another hard 5km through the woods to reach a secluded pond. From there I explore the area by foot and packraft. With only limited rations I rely on trout to keep from going too hungry. Not always an easy task to catch and cook!
Point of that is basically to carry less, harden myself and have a little challenge. It makes me better off if food shortages happen on expeditions down the road – I like to be ready for everything. It’s also rewarding to rely on nature and make it work. When it happens one feels healthy, strong and free.
This is a nice long show at 1hr36mins. Lots of adventure and great nature moments.
I think you will enjoy it!
More videos to come.
Bye for now and safe adventures,
Justin
