Wilderness Guide Program

Wilderness Guide Program participants sitting around the hearth at Snow Camp in February 2017 during a Northwoods Wisconsin winter.

The Wilderness Guide Program provides the opportunity to learn and practice outdoor survival skills such as fire by friction, primitive cooking and nutrition, foraging, natural shelter and lodge building, tanning hides, and so much more.

Students of the Wilderness Guide Program experience their day-to-day lives in a native-modeled encampment learning and practicing the essential skills of communication and cooperation, along with all the skills needed to build, maintain, and survive in a primitive camp in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.
